|Will you be an IA Vanquisher and take us into Mythic Legion?|
|Total Votes : 3|
Mythic Raiding is the IA goal.
1. Legion Timetable:
- Weeks one to two: Explore and level and relearn class
- Weeks three and four: dungeon to gear up
- Week five: begin raiding
2. Legion Vanquishers
All Vanquisher role-holders will be moved back to Champion role at the beginning of the new expansion, as will the occupant of the Raid Leader role.
Applications will be asked for anyone interested in Raid Leading to be considered by the Council. If an application is made by a Councillor, they will not be present whilst their application is considered.
Applications will be set for those interested in raiding, in the same manner that was had for the last exp.
DECISION: A general clean-out of the Vanquisher role, Em will be moving people out who are not raiding any more. Then, in the week before Legion hits, ALL Vanquishers will be moved into the Champion Role.
3. Legion Team Formation
We need to get the team together earlier.
Move onto each new tier as we are ready – not when we complete the outgoing tier, but as we are ready as a main group to move on. We may move on before we complete the outgoing tier and will need to return to complete the outstanding bosses.
4. Legion Q & A
4.1. Who’s running raid leading next expansion?
a. Whilst Em is happy to give it a go, she found that it was stressful at the start and has slowly found her feet. She will consider applying for the role, when it comes up.
b. We need to know if Ashemmi is intending to return and to return to the role of Raid Leader
DECISION: To ask for applications for Raid Lead. Emrald will assist Faythe to write a Job Description for the application process. All applications will be considered by the Council. Should applicants be from the Council, they will not be within the decision-making group.
4.2. What will be the requirements of legion raiding?
At this point, no council member are looking at Beta, so we are not sure what gear will available in the dungeons, nor what those minimums will be for the entry-level raids, etc.
DECISION: None as yet.
4.3. Who’s bringing what?
a. We know that we will need two tanks, a group of healers, and ranged and melee dps.
b. We also know that we do not want all demon hunters
DECISION: There is the expectation that we will be using the core team. We will ask each core raider to indicate what class they are preferring and intending to level and raid with. The council decision for this is to ask for members for their preference, and not stipulate what the team needs. Then, when we have all found our preferences within the first few weeks, we will plan to recruit what the team needs.
5. Councillor attitudes:
a. Fay went on about how she has very much appreciated how every council member has contributed to the guild. It has been great to see how there are very different players within the council group. All of whom have differing roles to play.
b. It was noted that as the Warlords is drawing to a close, that Councillor numbers are being eroded. This is due to peeps taking a break or to the pressures of real life. How can we manage this…
DECISION: As the period moves towards the expansion, we need to expect that members (Immortal, Vanquisher and Champions) will all lose interest. Duke, took a break due to family reasons and will be promoted back to the Immortal rank upon his return. As will Wrighty. HURRY BACK GUYS, WE NEED YOU!!
6. Raider attitudes and participation in progression:
a. When we are in progression, we come to raid, to get gear, to learn about the fights and everyone to put in their best. The fun, for some, is beating the boss, and not antics and mucking around. This goofing off behaviour is very annoying for those who want to raid more seriously.
b. We noted that our guild is not hard-core and that we also like to take time to seriously work through the raids. It seems that when we are in raid-progression, such as when we are at the point of moving from Normal into Heroic and from the flexible number Heroic into the fixed 20-raider requirement of Mythic, that the raiding environment becomes far more serious-minded than some members would prefer. We are reminded that we need to respect the needs of the raid's purpose: to master mechanics and work seriously as a team.
c. When we are facing a progression-boss it has been noted that we ARE ALL serious. Between bosses, explaining mechanics require the same seriousness, there are a few who use that time to let off steam through mucking around. The council indicated that the downtime antics are OK - when we are waiting around. These goofing-off antics are not OK when: the raid leader is speaking, when we are preparing to engage the boss, when we are fighting the boss, and when we are working seriously to understand and master the mechanics.
d. If peeps are getting agitated, whisper Em or Faythe.
e. We try not to be elitist – but we need also a balance of seriousness, especially on the fixed 20-man Mythic progression. We do need to see both types of fun and to respect that this is a game where the fun is beating the boss as a team.
f. We noted that we seem to hit this issue every time our team are just about to move from one level to another. We will keep working at how to ensure that we keep the balance happening and will need people to be mature and work at keeping communication open and positive.
7. Guild Mythic Highmaul and Mythic Blackrock Foundary
On the FIRST weekend of July (Federal Election) Em will be away – the plan is for the guild to work on Mythic Highmaul and BRF - we will need a minimum of 16 raiders for the guild achievements.

I plan to revise my role as tanking on Vindarius, I have no problem taking a swap roster if need be, but this must be discussed openly with all tanks. A few of the core raiders have been raiding with guild since dawn of IA and I feel that they have worked so hard to get the guild ranking up to what it is today, the team has been rather successful, though we seem to start way late into the expansion, so the early starting will definitely be in the right direction and give everyone a chance to raid on they're desired toons.
